Apple Watch SE dead and refusing to charge after getting wet

Hi, I have a year-old 40mm SE that refuses to charge or restart and only heats up when I place it on its charger.

The issue started last night when I took it into the shower with me (not my first time to get it wet, have never done more than splash it briefly, it’s never been fully immersed). I was done and toweling down when I noticed it kept on restarting. After a minute, it shut down completely.

I dried it off (made sure it was completely dry) and then tried all the restarts as well as placing it on the charger. Nothing works, and I had to pull it off the charger when it got very hot.

My Watch was working perfectly fine before that.

Anything else I can try to do? Thanks in advance.
