Freeform Shape in PowerPoint on Ipad

I cannot figure out how to create freeform shape in Microsoft PowerPoint (version 2.63.1) on my iPad Air 3. There was not a freeform shape option under the Insert -> Shapes tab. When I attempted to draw under the Draw tab, when I used the lasso it will highlight the shape but does not let me edit the shape style for fill and outline preferences. Any ideas on how to get this feature to work?
