Retrieve deleted information in Notes.

I accidentally deleted important information in notes. How do I undo it? I don't have "recently deleted" or "recover" in notes as suggested.

Hello Safilina,

That's a great question and you've come to a great place for help! If the notes were stored to your iPhone and not iCloud or a third-party email, you can restore to a backup to recover the deleted notes. Keep in mind, when you restore to a backup any new information that's not included in the backup, synced to iCloud, or synced to an email account would be removed from your device and wouldn't return. You can find the steps for restoring to a backup in the article below.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

If the notes were synced to a third-party service such as a Gmail account or another email, it is possible that the deleted notes may have been moved to the Trash folder. To see if this occurred, you'll need to view the Trash folder for that account in the Mail app, or sign in to the email via a web browser. "To recover a note from the Trash folder, you need to copy and paste the note to a new note in the Notes app." This information can also be found in the "Check your Recently Deleted folder" section of the article below.
