Blotches on MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

I have blotchy sort of iridescent spots coming in from the sides of my laptop screen. They have started appearing in the middle of the screen now and I don't know what they are? The don't affect the performance but are rather distracting when working. Does anyone know what they are or how to get rid of them please?

Sounds like a hardware issue.
