I have started a book in Pages. I didn't know about this book feature. Does this actually format a book to get it ready for publishing regardless of the publisher? If so, how do I transfer the book I have started in Pages to this program?

I have started a book in Pages. I didn't know about this book feature. Does this actually format a book to get it ready for publishing regardless of the publisher? If so, how do I transfer the book I have started in Pages to this program?

The Book template is just that - a template.

It might make things easier for you if you want to export your book in EPUB format but otherwise does not benefit you if you submit your book to a publisher other than maybe making it look nicer.

Worst case, you could always copy and paste what you have into a Book template.
