Messages not delivered from my MacBook Pro
Suddenly messages sent to certain people that have always worked say "Not delivered" with an exclamation point. What to do? (On my macbook)

Suddenly messages sent to certain people that have always worked say "Not delivered" with an exclamation point. What to do? (On my macbook)

Try going through this checklist step by step. I have seen these issues on my wife's iPhone or Mac in the past and developed this checklist to quickly resolve them. Pay special attention to the "start new conversations from" item for the Mac, but all of these must be set properly, most are iPhone settings in fact, but the Mac settings are also important to configure properly:
iMessage checklist
iPhone and Mac both logged in to same Apple ID. Try logging off and logging on if necessary.
iPhone Settings => Messages shows iMessage as "on" (sometimes toggling this off and then on fixes some things)
iPhone Settings => Messages shows Send & Receive showing both phone number and email (Apple ID)
iPhone Settings => Messages shows Text Message Forwarding and your Mac is listed and shown as "on" there.
iPhone Settings => Messages shows Send as SMS "on" and MMS Messaging and Group Messaging both "on"
On the Mac: Messages => Preferences shows same and correct Apple ID and "You can be reached for messages at" indicates both phone number and Apple ID (email), and "start new conversations from" indicates the phone number.
* Don't see the Text Message Forwarding setting on your iPhone? Go to Settings > Messages, turn off iMessage, turn it back on, tap Send & Receive, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage, then sign in with the same Apple ID used on your other devices.

1 - Is the e-mail address absolutely correct ?
2 - Is a File Attachment too large for the Receiver to accept ?
3 - Is the receivers e-Mail Box Inbox too full?
4 - Have they reached their e-mail Capacity as defined by their ISP ?
5 - Do they need to clear their e-mail up to allow new e-mail to arrive ?
1-yes, email address worked yesterday
2- no attachment
3- message worked fine from my phone--and in fact the message I sent from my phone shows up in the messages on my laptop (in blue instead of green if that means anything--screen shot below)
4-don't think so; phone messages go through, and it's my daughter who is on her dad's plan which is certainly plenty big
5-talking texts, not emails, but again, messages go through from my phone, just not from my laptop.
Thanks for all those--any other thoughts?
So, to repeat, certain iMessages that sent fine yesterday from both my phone and my laptop don't go through today from my laptop--but they go through fine from my phone. On my laptop I get a "Not delivered" message with an exclamation point. When I send from my phone, they go through, and they show up on my laptop. See screen shot above.

oops, for #1 above I meant phone number worked yesterday.
Welcome though, there are times when some users mention message and actually meant e-mails and visa versa .
Now that that is cleared up - we maybe be able to assist tomorrow..
Any ideas? Why text messages suddenly won't deliver from my laptop, though they seem to deliver fine from my phone? (See screen shot above)
