Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I just bought apple watch series 7. But to my surprise the battery drains like anything. Spending such an amount and not getting the service as committed and claimed by Apple on its website is under question.

When you buy a new watch it can take a few charge cycles for the battery to calibrate itself,I would try and be patient and see if it improves with time,in the meantime have a look at this page;
