Does the Apple watch use basal temperature to predict ovulation?

I haven’t worn it for two cycles straight, and I’ve taken it off in my sleep for a couple days. I’m also on contraceptives so is that a factor that stops ovulation prediction permanently? Apple watch 8 series My apple watch is still not recording my wrist temp nor ovulation as it should after wearing for 5 nights. Im not sure if the watch doesnt work properly or how to go about getting this issue fixed as it’s the main reason I purchased it
