Can i put an ipad air 4 sim tmobile sim card in an iphone 8plus?

Im not sure if it will work because my sim for my ipad is 5g but iphone 8plus is 4g?

That won't matter. However, the SIM in an iPad is a data only SIM and will not allow you to make or receive phone calls. If you need a phone SIM, you need to get that from your carrier.
