Can a wireless keyboard still work if I connect it to the computer using a usb charge cord?

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 11.6

The Apple Magic Keyboard will work with the charge cable plugged into the iMac USB port.

I can't speak for other WiFi keyboards

Some Satechi wireless keyboards also work while plugged in.

Yes. In fact that's the way to boot into Safe Mode or the Recovery volume as the bluetooth doesn't always connect in time to do so.
