Delete apps and purchases

Apparently it's impossible to completely remove an app from your purchased app history, you can only hide them. What's even worse is that you can't even hide previous purchases (even free ones) from your purchase history!

In my opinion the impossibility (or difficulty??) to remove/edit your personal settings/purchases is a major flaw of Apple.

Is there a workaround for this? Will Apple (and if so when) add the possibility to SELF manage your personal purchases/app installation history?
