Shocked by Apple Watch 7

Anybody else getting electric shocks from their Apple Watch 7?

I called support who passed me to after sales who passed me back to support who tried to pass me to iOS before I finally gave up. Said they were going to discuss internally, nobody ever called me back. $400 down the drain I guess!

Clearly a huge issue nobody wants to take ownership for or wants to fix. Stock price will plummet when Wall St realizes these things are giving people quite painful electric shocks!!

Thanks for reaching out, Shocked2022.

It sounds like you have some concerns about your Apple Watch after being shocked. We can help.

You definitely did the right thing in getting in touch with Apple for assistance, as they are in the best position to help you find a remedy to this situation.

That said, you may want to consider whether this was merely a static electric shock, such as when static builds up when you walk across a carpet, or if there is something defective with the Apple Watch where you are getting a shock from it.

Why does static build up on your device?

Certain environments and actions can encourage static electricity buildup on your electronic device.
Dry, low humidity environments
Very windy environments
Moving your device in and out of your pocket
Jogging or exercising with your device
Clothes made with synthetic fibers, like nylon

If you can determine that this is not what is happening and the shock isn't related to static, stop using the device and get back in touch with Apple. There's no reason to assume they aren't willing to help just because you haven't gotten a call, its possible they have the wrong number or you might have missed a call without realizing it. Either way, its in your best interests to follow up to make sure you get the help you need.
