my watch stopped recording all my activity. I have reset it uninstalled it and still nothing help

My apple watch has stopped recording steps I had the middle complication set to record steps using pedometer ++. It is now showing 0 steps and the complication is not adding steps and remains at 0 through the day. I have switched my iphone and watch off, and switched back on with the iPhone first.
