How to recover "Notes" data if accidentally deleted entire app? Not in iCloud

While reorganizing my home screen, I accidentally deleted the "Notes" app. And of course all its data -- i.e. the "notes" that I had saved -- were deleted along with it. I checked my iCloud, and "Notes" was never backed up, so the data is not there either. Is there ANY way to recover "Notes" data if the app has been deleted and it's not backed up to iCloud? Is it possible to "search the hard drive" of the iPhone for bits and bytes in otherwise "unused" memory? What would happen if I re-installed the Notes app -- would the old date re-attach itself to the app, or would it actually overwrite the lost data? Or...?

Not what you want to hear, but if you deleted the Notes app from your iPhone, you also deleted all the data in the Notes app as well.

Even if you were backing up to iCloud.......you were not per your info......the app and data would have been deleted as well in a subsequent backup, since iCloud syncs with your iPhone.

You can certainly reinstall the Notes app again on your iPhone if you wish. But, there will be no data within the app until you add new data.

There is no "Notes" app at all, thus there is no "Recently Deleted" folder.

Remember, my original question states that I deleted the entire app, not not one individual note.

Beside, this happened several months ago, so the "30 days" survival time in the "Recently Deleted" folder would have expired anyway, even if there was a folder and an app for it to be in.

Thanks -- that was I assumed was true, so it's not surprising.

What I was most curious about was this:

On a Mac, it's possible to search "unused memory" space on a hard drive for bits and bytes of "erased" data, which still remain physically on the drive even though the OS doesn't display it to the user, until that data block is randomly overwritten at some later time.

I was curious as to whether or not this was also true on an iPhone: Is there a way to search the "unused blocks" of memory space on the "drive" in the phone? Some sort of app, or extreme measure such as taking the memory chip out of the phone and connecting it to some data recovery system? The "Notes" that I lost were not that important, but I am curious how they might be recovered in a circumstance where they were extremely important.

Hi there! I found this excerpt for recovering recently deleted notes!

iPhone includes a folder for recently deleted notes. When you delete a note recently, it just stays in the Recently Deleted album for up to 30 days. You can still view and recover the note before it's removed permanently. This is the simplest way of getting deleted notes back to iPhone.

  • Open the Notes app on iPhone.
  • Tap the < arrow in the upper left corner to view your notes folders.
  • Select Recently Deleted in the folder list.
  • Tap Edit in the upper-right corner
  • Tap the note you want to restore.
  • Tap on Move To... and select the folder you want to move it to.
