Apple TV Remote App shows duplicates for same box

Hi,


I set up a new Apple TV for my bedroom this morning and after set up was complete, “Master Bedroom” shows up as a duplicate in the Remote App. I only have two Apple TVs but the Remote App reflects three. Has anyone with multiple boxes experienced this? If so, what’s the fix? It’s really bothering my OCD. Thanks!

  1. If the iPhone shows up as a paired device on Apple TV in Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Remote App and Devices﹥, then unpair (“forget”) that device.
  2. Try signing out for your Apple ID account on your iPhone (Settings﹥[You]﹥Sign Out), then sign in again.
  3. Try signing out for your Apple ID account on your Apple TV, then sign in again.
  4. Then try the Apple TV Remote widget in Control Center again.
