Photos
I have deleted images from a Photos album but I can't delete the album itself from the list. I have looked in "Photos Help" but can't see any instructions.

Which version of Photos are you using?
To delete an album you select it in the sidebar of Photos and ctrl-click or right-click it. This will bring up a menu with a "Delete Album" command.
