How can I sign in my Apple ID on iMac Virtual Machine?

I searched up one day if making a virtual machine of macOS was illegal and it said no, so after so many tries, I managed to enter correctly, only one problem though, it wasn’t reading the USB devices I gave it and it didn’t work when it came to signing in, if I went to an app like FaceTime and tried signing in, it would just close FaceTime completely but it also sent a request to my iPad, when I clicked allow it showed me a 2 step verification code, but my computer didn’t ask for one, instead it offered to reopen the app and this has left me pressed and confused, please help!!! P.S. I think it’s my wifi but I can’t fix it neither can I make it appear on the menu bar

Windows, Windows 10

I have to use an adapter for Wifi and I have Ethernet (which is what it says is connected to but clearly isn’t) and I don’t know how to even connect my hotspot from my phone...

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Sys Prefs>Network>highlight the Interface you're using>Advanced>TCP/IP>Configure IPv4: Using DHCP.

If using Wifi, instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

System Preferences>Network>choose interface>Advanced>Proxies Tab, make sure none are set, like for HTTP & HTTPS.

System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Signing in to iCloud on iMac VM:

Using a Windows 10 VM on VMWare Fusion, I do not have this issue. So, be certain you are allowing for DHCP and FTP to be enabled. Without it, you cannot connect to the internet.

Btw I am on desktop so I have to use an adapter for Wifi and I have Ethernet (which is what it says is connected to but clearly isn’t) and I don’t know how to even connect my hotspot from my phone and weirdest part is apple doesn’t read the wifi adapter I gave through the app

I think I need to put in the download disk for the wifi adapter actually

maybe that’s why
