Smart Folders are great, yet I can add search criteria but not add subtractive criteria.
Is it correct what I say? Is there a way to solve that?

There are a lot of possibilities with smart folder criteria. The Option key is your friend... but please tell us a bit more about what you are trying to do and I am sure we will get there.
Please describe "subtractive criteria".
