I can't see my photos on my iPhone when I use image capture, iPhotos or Adobe Photoshop elements.

mac Montery ver 12.4 iPhone 13 ver 15.5. I must be doing something wrong. Do I need to be on iCloud?

Transfer images in Image Capture on Mac

  1. Connect your device to your computer using a cable, then turn the device on. ... 
  2. In the Image Capture app on your Mac, select the device in the Devices or Shared list.
  3. Use the tools in the Image Capture toolbar to change how the thumbnails are shown:
