mail app keeps freezing. Sometimes screen is blank (white) other times just shows some emails. Showing updated on 20/5/2022 I’ve rebooted, done reset, ok for a few minutes then freezes again.

In your troubleshooting did you also delete the Mail app and reinstall it to see if a fresh instance helps? While your emails should be on your email service providers server, we still recommend backing up first: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
After backing up, use these steps to delete and reinstall the Mail app: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch - Apple Support
If that doesn't help, how many email accounts do you use with your iPhone? Have you noticed this happens when viewing email from a particular account?
