Swimming with Apple Watch

I swim about 2 miles a day. Will the Apple I watch with stand that kind of use?

Thank you! I knew you could swim with the watch. I was trying to find out if people who swim significant distances on a daily basis have been successful with the watch over the years. My previous Iwatch (it was used by another member of my family) stopped being able to respond to my voice after just a few months of my use in the pool. I wonder if the extended use in the water was a source of the problem with my old watch. If so I don’t want to have the same thing happen with my new watch. But as you point out the watch can gather some really interesting data if I can use it in the water for hours every day.
