I have a brand new iphone and when I try to down load a app threw App Store I press the download button and it tells me "done" and I do not see the new app any where on my phone? Why is that?
You said you don't see if anywhere -- does that includ the App Library? Swipe left past the last home screen to get to the App Library. There is a search box at the top of that screen.

When you download new apps from the App Store, you can add them to the Home Screen and App Library, or to App Library only.
