My touch id on MacBook Air M1 works on everything - except unlocking my Mac (macOS 12.4)

Is "Unlocking your Mac" one of the options selected in Apple menu > System Preferences > Touch ID?

Also be aware that you will need to use a passcode instead of Touch ID when starting your Mac (i..e., each time you power it on).
