MacBook Pro "System Data" Glitch

Every few days, my Macbook Pro says that my "Disk is almost full."

When I go to "About this Mac" --> "Storage," it says that my system is over 990 GB (1st provided screenshot).

Usually, if I just restart my Macbook, the issue is resolved, showing that my actual available disk space is around 850 GB (2nd provided screenshot). However, over the past few days, it's been taking progressively more successive restarts to achieve that.

I have also provided another screenshot showing my device overview. So that you all know what OS I have and what type of MacBook Pro I have.
