Blue shift on iPhone 13 Pro Max OLED display?
Hello everyone, I'm joining the Apple community and getting to know the apple world.
I have a question about my new iphone 13pro max, more precisely, about the OLED screen.
I've never used a any OLED display before, and I'm not used to seeing a slight change from warm white (truetone off) to a cooler, bluish tint when off-angle.
I read an Apple article that says this is normal(About the Super Retina display and Super Retina XDR display on your iPhone - Apple Support,) ("If you look at an OLED display off-angle, you might notice slight shifts in color and hue")
also on my local forum (in my country) a lot of people have this. Moreover, my friend has a phone from another company with an AMOLED screen, and there I also observe this by my eyes .
I wouldn't consider this a problem, but some support folks told me that not all phones have this. But perhaps I was misunderstood.
In general, I have no complaints about the display: the picture and brightness are the highest level and I like everything. In the Russian segment of Youtube, I found a similar display in a person who, however, does not say that this is a problem, but simply emphasizes that the screen is good and goes a little at an angle into cold shades. I am attaching the timecode. (11:51 - https://youtu.be/vUx54lh_jtE?t=711) (its illustrate my case)
I have something similar. It is on a white theme, a white background of settings for example, that I can notice, at an angle (which I almost never use in real life), that the screen changes shade in favor of cold).
Basically two questions:
1. I assume all OLED displays behave this way? (I repeat that I don’t see any red, green shades and defects in myself, only when I look at an angle, the shade changes)
2. This is the standard for this model and is not a defects, right? (My russian support team said that this "permissible deviation rate" or something)
I would be glad if you calm me down. Perhaps I just did not own such screens before.
