iPhone 11 in freezing temperatures

Hi,

I just purchased a brand new refurbished iPhone 11.

My question is this:

For my job, I usually spend about 1 and a half to 2 hours in a freezer (usually between 0 and 10 degrees F). I just want to triple check my phone will be OK in such an "environment"?

Looking at the specs, it says that it should be fine to go down to -4 degrees F (not operating, but simply existing), but I just wanted to triple check before I accidentally killed my phone or something.

Also, should I power it off while I'm in the freezer?

Thanks so much for your help!

Do note that it’s rated operating temp is only down to freezing (32 DegF)

However, the bigger threat - especially this time of year - is condensation forming when your “ice cold” device comes out of the freezer into the warmer, moist air. (I’m assuming that you’re in the Northern hemisphere)

It would be prudent to keep your device in an inside pocket UNDER your outer clothing; accessible but still warmed by your body heat.

This way you could still keep it “on” and be alerted by “vibration” … while the condensation risk would be reduced - if not completely eliminated - by it’s higher temp.
