I want to know if they could make my phone unconnected so I can use it since I don't want to use another at&t line and I want to know how I could do it by passing at&t to unconnected⁸

literally my phone is new only that instead of buying it unconnected I bought it with the at&t company I wanted to know how I can use it since the at&t company gives me the option to add another line or return it to apple and have it replaced the phone.
