If you’re using an iPhone 6 or earlier and on iOS 12.5.5 or earlier, your iPhone is too old to update to current iOS versions, and a newer or new iPhone will be required.

Any recent iPhone will be substantially more capable than an iPhone 6 and earlier, too.
