There is no Camera button when I open Notes on my iPhone 12 which has the latest operating system
When I try to scan a document into Notes, the Camera button does not appear as an option. What am I doing wrong?

In searching previous replies under this topic, I found all I needed to do was toggle Notes under the iCloud tab in Settings to have the entire bar (including the camera icon) appear. It seems as long as you keep your Notes in iCloud, you can Scan documents using the Camera. If your Notes are simply on your iPhone, the Camera icon doesn't appear. Thanks for your suggestion tho....

Hello helpmikek,
When you say you don't have a camera button, are you missing the entire bar as shown here (with table, Aa, Check box, etc..)?
Do you have a Gray "+" sign on the bottom right corner? If so, your panel bar is just hidden from view.
Alternatevely if you press in the blank area of the document and hit the middle button (which is shown at the top of the image below), does your camera work then?
