Audio Interface Focusrite

Thousands of videos and information recommending the Scarlett Audio interface to be connected to iPhone, is now misinformation? I mean, there’s is literally hundreds of videos on YouTube regarding the connection between iOS and Focusrite it is now irrelevant and mislead me to buy a lot of unnecessary adapter and equipment?
