I had a company phone paired to my apple watch. I got a personal new phone and turned in my company phone (erased and set back to default) prior to pairing my watch with the new phone. Now my apple watch is still paired with the old phone.

How do I get my apple watch to reset without the old phone it is still paired with? This is a legit question and I did not steal anything. I just want to reset the watch and pair to the new phone. I even tried deleting the watch off my apple id account but no luck.
