Do you have ones you wait to delete or are you asking how to remove the option for additional desktops. The option (Mission Control) cannot be removed as it's an integral part of the OS.
No. I am not talking about Mission Control. I believe I may have solved it though. When I hit the F3 button on my MacBook pro. right now, it says Dashboard and Desktop and there is a + sign in the upper right that seems to add desktop views. Somehow I must have added a desktop view and then opened the browser. Probably I need to just close the other desktop and open the browser in the original desktop view.
I want the system to give me the option to have only one desktop. When I open a web page it is on a separate desktop and it is bothersome having them slide back and forth as I work from browser to another app. Is that possible?
What browser and what app? Try as I might, I can't duplicate what you seem to be saying.
Browsers are apps too. If you have more than one open, your can switch back and forth.
Again, are you talking about Mission Control where the screen suddenly, or by choice, shows all windows in a patchwork configuration?
Those aren't desktops; they are app windows. That are superimposed over the single desktop. Each windows has the tricolor "traffic light" as a dead giveaway.
Based on your RAM available, you can open many and close any at any given time.
This is a standard feature of all Macs ... multiple app windows open at once.
No I'm NOT talking about the app windows. I am talking about multiple desktops. See attached image.
But don't worry about it I have solved it myself .
Thanks
Oh I wasn't worried. Glad you got to all figured out.
