I'm new to the apple community, and would like to update my system. Where do I start ?

If you're referring to updates, open the Mac App Store and click on the Updates tab.

If you're referring to upgrades, back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, click here, and depending on which MacBook Air model you have, then on the download link for Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey; it needs to be at least a 2012 one to run any of them.


Catalina and newer won't run 32-bit software; download and use Go64 as well as using the first link above.
