iphone thinks im in mexico

The safari on my iPhone pulls up only mexico websites. For example, I type in Walmart, it pulls up Walmart.mex. Apps function correctly, it’s only safari that thinks I’m in mexico. I travel to mexico for business multiple times a month, but have never encountered this problem. I’ve checked my phone settings, country, language, etc. it’s all set correctly. I’m thinking it’s the vpn? Not very tech savvy, was hoping for further guidance.
