My Iphone has been getting these vertical lines which affect the touchscreen I guess, and has been for about 2 months and they go away on their own when i drop my phone which is weird, but this morning it happened again and when i dropped my phone to try to fix it, it only worked for about 2 seconds

I am not sure why you have to drop your iPhone to fix the lines showing on your screen. You may have caused more damage by dropping the iPhone. If you are seeing vertical lines on your screen then chances are that this is a hardware issue. My recommendation is that you have your iPhone examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.
