Adapters for 9th generation iPads
Is there a adapter for iPad 9th generation that will connect to iPad and have female usb at other end? Also, one with male end?

Presumably you are trying to connect a USB device that has a USB Type-A plug to the Lightning port of your iPad9. If so, you’ll not be able to use a simple USB cable - but will instead require a hardware-adapter that incorporates a USB Root Hub/Controller that is otherwise absent from the iPad Lightning port.

Don’t be confused by the name of this adapter - as it is intended to provide both a USB Type-A socket (to which you can connect USB accessories and storage devices) and a pass-through Lightning connection to which you should connect your Power Adapter for charging purposes.
The standard USB to Lightning cable referenced by Smilin-Brian is used to connect your iPad to its Power Adapter for direct charging - or should it be required, for connection to a PC or Mac computer.
