Upgradeable laptops?

Not sure why (although I can make a pretty good guess), why Apple has done away with the option to upgrade any of their laptops, but I am wondering what is the last laptop that would allow you to upgrade ram, HD, etc?

I am so f***ing fed up with M$, Dell, programs not working like they are supposed to, etc., that I am ready to ditch them all.

I currently have a MacBook Pro, 13" from mid 2012 & would like something a little newer than that, if possible.

The best approach is to try to find the model you want that already has the SSD and memory that you want.

SSDs could be upgraded on 13" MacBook Pro non-Touch Bar models from 2016 - 2017 and on 13" and 15" Retina MacBook Pros from Late 2013 through mid 2015 models.

SSDs on MacBook Airs could be upgraded on 2017 models and earlier.

Memory could be upgraded on non-Retina MacBook Pros through Late 2016. MacBook Air memory could not be upgraded.
