When I try to download an app it says Use assistive touch when assistive touch is on
How can I download an app if I do have assistive touch on and it says use assistive touch but nothing happens

You have AssistiveTouch set to “on”. That is one thing.
Using AssistiveTouch to perform an operation is a different thing.
