I promised you an update... With the new RAM Modules everything seems to work fine.
If the " Volume Hash Mismatch " is the same as those in supplied links below - the issue is not related to MacOS but rather the possible BAD RAM Module
Please help - Terminal.app keeps crashing upon reopening - macoS Monterey version 12.4
Volume hash mismatch, cannot reinstall MacOS
Thank you! This could very well be the case with me. I added 16 gig (2x8) SDRAMM memory. I bought 266 mhz. The guy at the store told me thad the speed would be downgraded automatically to 2400 mhz. It seemed to work fine for a few days. Than the problems began. My computer would shut down by itself and show me the "volume hash mismatch" error. I went back to the store today and changed the Simms for 2400 hmz Simms. I hope my problem is solved now. I will now in a few days. But so far, so good!
You are welcome.
If time permits, do keep use posted on the progress
Ah, the days when RAM and Drives were not soldered to the LogicBoard. Another life time.
Do come back to the Apple Support Communities ( ASC ) in the future, if / or when additional questions may arise
