Help! I am transferring data from old iPad to new iPad. Started 10 hours ago. Screen with discus is still whirling. Should have finished already. What do I do now?

I have connected my old iPad to my new iPad. It’s been 10 hours and screen is still showing discus whirling. (Screen says keep old iPad near new iPad) Data transfer should be completed. Need advice! What do I do now?

Are both devices plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi? Is Bluetooth on for both devices?

Then I’d suggest resetting the new iPad to factory settings, and starting over. It should take much less than an hour.

Yes, Wi-fi and Bluetooth are on for both devices.

Yes, both devices have been plugged in overnight. They are touching as well.
