Invitation failed for home app

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to invite your wife to share control of your home with the Home app. The following guide provides helpful information for sharing control of your Home:
First, make sure both you and her have a Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the latest OS version. Then, make sure that both you and your wife are signed in to iCloud on your Apple device, then turn on Home in iCloud Settings.
If you are using your HomePod as a home hub, make sure you've already set it up as such:

If the issue persists after following the steps from above, then let's have you force the Home app to close, restart your Apple device, and test the behavior again. Keep us updated with how it goes.
