Possible identity theft

Well, first my name isn’t malik, I wish to know how can I change that or why did it changed my name? Second,I want to download some applications for my phone but it says that it doesn’t exist on my region, so I looked for the region that were registered on the app store and it says that the region is Pakistan, and I’m from Puerto Rico! I really need those apliccations for my job, so I hope that you can help me, Thank.

You might want to consider changing your password and making sure it is a strong one. You can also add 2 Factor Authentication to your account for more security. If the attempts continue, you might want to consider a name change.

Make sure you turn off Find My Phone before signing out of the old ID. Once signed out and Find My Phone is off, then sign in with the new ID, then turn Find My Phone back on.

For the store.


You need a zero account balance and you need to cancel all your subscriptions. If you have cancelled all subscriptions, but some haven’t expired, contact iTunes Support. You need a valid credit card issued by a bank in the country the store is in and you need a billing address in that country. If you have an account balance, either buy something more expensive and pay the balance with a credit card or contact iTunes Support and ask them to zero balance your account.

How to remove Activation Lock – Apple Support (UK)

If you need help removing Activation Lock and have proof of purchase documentation, you can start an Activation Lock support request.


You can also contact Apple support for help, -> Get Support (apple.com)

You have to show proof of ownership of your product, provide all documentation showing your purchase of the device.

If you do not have additional proof of ownership, contact the reseller. They may be able to provide the original purchase document.

Once Apple receive your proof of ownership, Apple will further review your request and provide an update.
