Adding Apple Account to Wallet

I just recently learned that you can add your Apple Account to your Wallet. The options is available when taping the 'plus' button on the wallet screen in iOS.


However, after multiple attempts on my iPhone 13 mini, the process fails with a "Could Not Add Card." message. I can select "try again" or "Add a Card Later."


I've tried over several days to add my Account Account. I've tried restarting the phone, beyond that its unclear how I can resolve this error.


Has anyone else successfully added their Apple Account to their iOS Wallet?

There are many things to try.


  1. Force reboot your device. (not a regular reboot) Force reboot device - Apple Support
  2. Reset all settings (this does not delete data)
  3. I highly suggest signing out of your Apple ID. This is usually the fix for quite a few issues.
  4. if all else fails erase the device and set it up as new (setting it up from a potentially corrupt backup could reproduce the same issue.

hey, thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot this issue. I'll open a feedback ticket with Apple as well. I created the question here to see if anyone else had bumped into this.


The network settings reset didn't resolve this issue. I've also rebooted the device multiple times. the option to add my Apple Account only appears on my iOS device. And it's running 15.6.


I do have a balance on the account.


I could sign out, but I'm hoping I don't need to as that process requires I re-add everything else that is working fine. Resetting network connections did not resolve, I have no issues adding other payment methods to wallet.


I suspect this is a half baked solution that few people use and thus Apple hasn't had enough feedback to resolve.


I'll wait, I have better things to do than chase these bugs for them. Not that big a deal.
