Apple car key (Passive entry)

Hi,

Im thinking about buying an AW7, and I already own an Iphone 12 mini. My question is a scenario when Im out for a run and leave my phone in my Bmw (equipped with iDrive 8 with Comfort Access SA 322). Is it possible to lock and unlock the car only with the watch with the passive entry function, even if my phone is inside the car?
