“Item is currently being modified, try again later.” Message

I can’t pay for my LinkedIn Navigator subscription because I get the message “Item is currently being modified, try again later.” I keep trying later but it’s the same issue.

Based on the error message you've described, we would recommend going through the following troubleshooting steps. They will help us isolate the issue to your device or possibly to the LinkedIn Navigator service itself, and hopefully resolve the issue. Try each step one-at-a-time, testing between each:


  1. Close any open apps: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support, then restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Check for, and install, any available iOS updates for your phone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
  3. If you're trying to use a LinkedIn app, check for updates for the app: How to manually update apps on your Apple device - Apple Support
  4. Delete the LinkedIn app if you're using one: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support, then reinstall it: Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support


If you're trying to pay for the subscription via the LinkedIn website, please get in contact with LinkedIn directly. They will be able to investigate issues related to their payment processing services: Contact LinkedIn Customer Service | LinkedIn Help
