How are you logging in to your iCloud account? Are you logging in from the direct website on from your Mac Preferences? If you haven't tried logging in from the direct website, let's try that first to make sure that you're entering in the correct login credentials. That website can be found here: Sign in to iCloud

It's good that you can log in successfully at the Apple website, so we can focus on the Mac.
Have you restarted your Mac since this started happening? If not, go ahead and do that, as a restart can resolve unexpected issues.
Restart your Mac
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Restart.
• If you don’t want app windows that are open to reopen when your Mac restarts, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.”
Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support
If still an issue, try logging in while starting up in safe mode:

It may take longer to finish the start up, as safe mode does some system checks, and can sometimes resolve issues. You'll also see some differences in the display. This is expected with safe mode, and when you restart normally, they'll be gone. After trying to log in, restart normally.
If you're still not able to get that login to accept, we'd advise to contact Apple Support.

When I login to my laptop the iCloud login credentials, after entering my password the screen will go back to login page. It goes in circles and it will never let me login to my account.

I'm able to login directly from the website, but when I try to login from the MAC preferences it doesn't let me login and just goes into loop.
