Urdudette,

If you're already running the latest software on your iPhone, the next step we recommend is to reset your AirPods. This will help us isolate whether or not the AirPods is causing this behavior, or the iPhone. Here's how:

  1. "Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Open the lid of your charging case.
  4. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods. (If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth, just go to the next step.)
  5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
  6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, then white.*
  7. AirPods charging cases
  8. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen."

Welcome Urdudette,

We understand that incoming FaceTime notifications are louder than expected when using headphones on your iPhone 13 Pro.

Have you tried to restart your iPhone since noticing this issue? Restarting can resolve many issues: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Does this only occur when you have headphones connected to the iPhone? Disconnect your headphones to test it out.

Hoping to hear back soon, take care.

Hello Urdudette,

Thanks for sharing the additional details. So the issue only occurs with headphones, and when you have headphones connected to the device you cannot adjust the volume.

Does this occur with all headphones or just a specific pair? That will me the first thing you'll want to check to isolate where the issue is coming from. Connect a different set of headphones to the device and see if anything is happening when you press the volume button on the device, or if it still won't allow you to turn down the volume.

If you're unable to adjust the volume with any headphones, than that would isolate the issue to the device. If that's the case, you'll want to contact Apple to report that issue: Get Support

Cheers!

I have only noticed it when I’m wearing headphones cause it won’t allow me to turn down the volume when it initially wasn’t that high, It blasts my ear drums.

I have restarted it. I’ve been waiting and hoping an update would fix it. Still the same result.

I have tried going to manually turn down the volume through settings and it says it’s already on low. This only happens when I make outgoing FaceTime calls.
