Configure Gmail to Send As Another Email

I'm trying to use Gmail to send from one of my other email addresses. I have already added the other address in Gmail Settings in Send mail as under Accounts and Import.

I am already forwarding the other email to my Gmail address and am able to receive emails, but when I try to reply and use the address to reply from it isn't in the dropdown menu.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but when I go in to the Email Accounts the Server Settings only show the Outgoing Mail Account as "Gmail." I click on the Edit SMTP Server List from the drop down menu there are no Gmail settings there.

Hello seadub64,

Check out Change Outgoing server settings in Mail on Mac - Apple Support. As it shows there, "You can change preferences for the SMTP mail server you use to send messages, as directed by the provider of your email accounts."

Also, check out the section labeled "Email Address" on this page: Change Account Information preferences in Mail on Mac - Apple Support. It offers information on how to choose the email address you want to use for sending messages from the account.

We hope this helps!

Cheers!

Hey seadub64,

We'll need more information about the issue you're having with replying to emails from a forwarded email. Are you using the Mail app or Gmail app to reply to the forwarded emails? Some information on setting up emails to forward can be found from the Google Support website here: Automatically forward Gmail messages to another account - Gmail Help

For the Mail app, this guide may help: Reply to or forward emails in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

Let us know,

Take care!

No, not really. Hopefully I can explain this better.

My Gmail account is Enabled and its status is Online. When I go to the "Server Settings" its "Outgoing Mail Account" is "Gmail." When I click on the drop down and select "Edit SMTP Server List..." there is no Gmail account in there.

I don't if it's supposed to be here and I need to go in and create one for this to work or does that not have anything to do with it?

Thanks!
