one of the 4 iPhones in our house is using all the bandwidth. I spend 8hrs doing video chat for work on my MacBook and somehow an iPhone which is barely being used is using an insane amount more bandwidth and causing connection problems with my work. I’m not very tech savvy but have had devices that did this before. Usually a simple update fixes the problem but everything on the phone is up to date. Any help is appreciated.

If it’s plugged into power and trying to back up to iCloud, it could be saturating your upstream bandwidth. Typical consumer broadband has a much lower upstream cap than the download cap. When the upstream is saturated, everything will suffer.
Normally, iCloud backups happen at night, but if the device is rarely used and it happens to be plugged in and on WiFi during the day, it may have decided that’s the best time for it to back up.
Try disconnecting it from power during the day.
