Apple Watch competition no points

Hi. I was mid-competition with a friend when initially my rings were just not moving and points were not added up.

I realised my calories were not being recognised and remained at zero during a walk. My competition points are also still 00!

I've reset my watch, force restarted, signed out, and in of my Apple ID on my iPhone and still 00. Both iPhone and watch are up to date.

I did change my time zone when travelling and this is the only thing I’ve done out of the ordinary. Surely just by changing my time zone wouldn’t stop my rings and competition points?

Yes, if you're in the midst of a competition, changing the timezone can affect points earned as the days end at midnight.

Hi Matthew, thanks for your response.

my calories are now registering after resetting the watch. But the issue is, no points are being added to the competition at all since I change the time zone. So for days I’ve remained at the same points for the competition, but all my rings are still closing? If that makes sense.

any other thoughts on how to rectify this? Thanks for your help
